During the planning stages of city projects there are always public meetings people can attend to give their input. Last night at the Marshalltown City Council meeting, they started the discussion around Reimagine Marshalltown and a Comprehensive Plan. That discussion led to a public meeting tonight at the Coliseum.
That is City Councilor Mike Ladehoff, who is inviting people to the Coliseum tonight, doors open at 5pm with the presentation beginning at 5:30. Whether you own your property or rent your apartment, all Marshalltownians are able to attend.
Ladehoff says Facebook comments are not part of the official record but people can still give comment on topics even if they do not attend Council or Public meetings.
People have an opportunity to review the agenda and any forms or presentations ahead of time.
People can search “Marshalltown City Council Agenda” or start at Marshalltown-ia.gov to find the agenda and all of the information. Typically the agenda is released the Friday before the City Council meeting.
