The Marshalltown Community College Esports Team just dominated the Collegiate Karting League – Division II by going 11-0. This is the 5th season for Collegiate Karting League, but the first time MCC has participated.

That is head coach Nathan Rodemeyer who says JUCO’s and Technical Colleges are the minority in Collegiate Karting League. There were some big schools like Michigan State, University of Oklahoma, University of Tennessee, UNI, and more.
Division II is the tougher division and the Tigers stepped up. Team Captain, Tess Pacza, and she helped keep the team calm and focused on the task ahead of them.
This competition was 6 v 6 in Mario Kart, so teammates could help one another finish in a better position. Ryne Erickson spoke on KFJB last year after he won Singles Mario Kart National Championship, on a team of 6 he has a different role.
Winning a Mario Kart Championship this semester pushes the total National Championships won in Mario Kart pass Overwatch 2, to 5 Championships. We will watch for Overwatch 2 this semester to see if they can win for the 5th time in a row.
