According to the Iowa State Patrol, two people were injured when a car hit a sign and rolled early Sunday morning in Marshalltown. The accident happened at S 12th Ave. and E Olive Street just after 1am Sunday morning. Authorities say the driver of a Honda Civic lost control of their vehicle, hit a sign for the fairgrounds before it began rolling near the intersection.
The driver was identified as 18-year-old Boe Meh who was transported to a local hospital. The passenger was 18-year-old Kiana Gricelda Zamora, who was also injured and transported by life flight to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Reports show, Zamora was not wearing a seatbelt.
