Recently the Marshall County Conservation was recognized by the Izaak Walton League with their Conservation Award. County Director Emily Herring says Marshall County earned 2nd place.
The award is based off of how much habitat work each county does through land acquisitions, planting prairies or trees, and more.
Herring says her staff has over 3,000 acres that they manage in Marshall County.
