According to a press release, a Marshalltown Community School District Employee was arrested yesterday for sexual exploitation by a school employee. The Marshalltown Police Department began an investigation on November 7th that led to the arrest of Stacy Galema, 35, of Marshalltown.

She has been arrested on the following charges: two counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee, one a Class D felony and the other an aggravated misdemeanor, and lascivious conduct with a minor, a serious misdemeanor.  The incident happened between 2014 and 2019 according to the report. Galema has been booked in the Marshall County Jail on a cash bond totaling $8,000 for all three counts.

Galema works in the athletic department and the head girls soccer coach. She is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
