Last night the Marshalltown Community School District held their annual meeting and swore in the three individuals who won the school board election; Eric Goslinga, and incumbents, Leah Stanley and Zach Wahl.  Goslinga is the only new member beating out Karina Hernandez.  Board President Sean Heitmann spoke about Hernandez’s 8 years on the School Board.

Board member Maria Morales won her seat during the 2023 election and she says that Hernandez will always be her mentor.

Hernandez said being on the School Board was something she loved to do.  The meeting was then handed to Randy Denham, Director of Business and Operations.

And just like that, the next three board members were sworn in and ready to serve the Marshalltown community.
