The last two months of the year CAPS, Child Adolescent and Parent Support, holds their Healthy Homes for the Holidays Supply Drive to gather supplies for their nest program. This is a supply closet that families can earn points towards to purchase items with those points. Emma Michels, Director of Community Engagement, says it is all about building up families and creating good habits.
The idea is to promote healthy parent child relationships. These items are different than other supply closets around town.
Michels talks about who can register to be part of their nest program.
If you do not qualify for WIC you can still stop by CAPS and they will work with you to see if you qualify or other programs that may help your family. Those that want to donate can drop off items at their office 306 S 17th Ave. just south of Lennox.
