Last week on the Community Foundation of Marshall County’s website opened the grant applications for their student philanthropy groups.  County Foundation Director, Julie Hitchens, says the students identified needs in Marshall County and created focus areas where they want the money to go towards.

Hitchens says the focus areas and applications can be found on their website, cfmarshallco.org.  Hitchens says the application is fairly simple, the students helped build the questionnaire.

Hitchens encourages anyone with a local project, especially if it falls into their focus areas.  All three school groups, East Marshall, West Marshall, and Marshalltown have youth as part of their focus areas.
