Monday night was a rare time when the Marshalltown School Board and the Marshalltown City Council met on the same night.  It is the only School Board meeting for January for Marshalltown and Superintendent, Dr. Theron Schutte, joined KFJB to recap the meeting.  He shares what he feels is the biggest news form the meeting.

Dr. Schutte is hopeful that in a month from now we will be discussing contracts and accepting bids for the project.

Dr. Schutte shares that he was a student in Miller back in the 70s and even then, students thought the building looked old.

Dr. Schutte says the updates will take a full 3 years of construction
