Fall enrollment for Iowa Valley was up on both campuses, Marshalltown Community College and Ellsworth Community College. In total the fall enrollment was up about 8%. President of Iowa Valley, Dr. Anne Howsare-Boyans shares that the spring enrollment was up even more.
The growth is shown in all areas, Dr. Howsare-Boyans says traditional, concurrent, and the adult population are all up. This has created a good problem, student housing.
Part of the plan is to have the construction technology students work hand in hand throughout the project.
Dr. Howsare-Boyans says the demand for more housing is not only more students, but students want the more traditional college experience, even at Community College.
