A farmer who has spent the past decade reducing tillage and adding cover crops is not concerned about the “additionality” of carbon markets.
Bryan Biegler of Lake Wilson says he expects programs to emerge that compensate farmers for conservation work that’s already been done.
“I think there will definitely be opportunities down the road for everyone to get involved if we want.”
