A Wisconsin-based farm organization is returning to in-person events after COVID-19 forced them to move their business conference online a year ago. Shelly Mayer with the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin tells Brownfield farmers, and their families have mixed feelings about getting together in mid-March. “We’ve got folks from almost the time of the shutdown were like, get us information and get us back together and how can we do this and think out of the box to folks that are like, look, I’m caring for my elderly parents and I would love to attend something, but virtual is the only way that I can go.”
Mayer says with tight COVID restrictions for crowds at their usual location in Madison’s Alliant Energy Center, PDPW had to consider a larger, safer site.
