Direct cash cattle trade activity is quiet and while there could be a little cleanup trade, it’s likely business has wrapped up for the week. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $120 plus live in the South and $192 dressed in the North. Southern live deals this week have been marked at $116 to $120, mostly $119 to $120, steady to $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages. Northern dressed deals had a range of $187 to $192, mostly $191, generally steady with the previous week’s business.
