A southwest Iowa farmer has one eye on his crop and the other on federal policy that could impact his operation.

Jeff Jorgenson, a corn and soybean grower from Sidney, says biofuels, taxes, and climate are all at the forefront.

“There’s no question about it because we have to be prepared for how it’s going to affect agriculture, and how we move forward together in making sure that those things do the right things for agriculture, the economy, and everything in between.”

The current president of the Iowa Soybean Association tells Brownfield he’s closely watching what’s happening at USDA.
