The Marshall County Sheriff, Marshalltown Police, and Child Abuse Prevention services are again joining forces for a free “Car Seat Check Up” event. Just drive on over to the Marshalltown Fareway parking lot from noon to four Sunday afternoon and certified techs will check out your car seat to help keep your child safe. Why? if nothing else, they will check to see if your car seat has been recalled.

Marshall County Chief Deputy Ben Veren emphasizes the car seat check is not an enforcement event. They just want to keep the kids safe while they are in the car with you.
