The USDA says June 2021 poultry production was 4.461 billion pounds, up 3% from June 2020.

Most of that was chicken at 3.963 billion pounds, 4% higher, with turkey at 487.633 million pounds, 3% lower.

The chicken slaughter was up 4% at 812.993 million head with average live weights mostly steady, while the slightly lower move in turkey slaughter to 19.076 million head and a 2% loss in the average live weight.
