Warmer weather has helped crops in the Delta Region catch up.
Ninety percent of Tennessee’s corn crop is silking and 51% is in the dough stage, with 82% of the crop rated good to excellent. Cotton is 79% squaring, 33% setting bolls, and 66% is rated good to excellent. Soybeans are 65% blooming, 35% setting pods, and 78% is rated good to excellent. Pastures are rated 63% good to excellent. Many farmers have also been aggressively treating crops for armyworms.
