Missouri crops progressed under drier than normal conditions last week, allowing for some saturation relief.          

The USDA says corn silking in the state progressed to 79 percent, nine percent behind last year. Corn condition improved five percent to 66 percent good to excellent.    

More than half of soybeans have bloomed and nearly 20 percent have started setting pods. Soybean condition improved five percent to 61 percent good to excellent.    

More than half of the state’s cotton is setting bolls.
