An Idaho dairy farmer is calling for Congress to uphold enforcement provisions in the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement to protect family farms.
In a Senate Finance Committee hearing, Allan Huttema, a board member of the National Milk Producers Federation, testified about the importance of trade and a level playing field for the industry.
“Unfortunately, without sufficient market access opportunities to bride us with tariff parody or better in key markets, when compared to our trade competitors, American dairy farmers are left feeling the effects,” he says.
