A very quiet start to the week for cash cattle trade. Buyers and sellers are seemingly busy taking inventory. Bids and asking prices have yet to be established. Beef cutouts are expected to work higher during the day on light box movement, but the bulk of the week’s cash business isn’t expected until after Tuesday.

Boxed beef is higher at midday with good demand for light offerings. Choice is $2.03 higher at $298.29 and Select is $2.15 higher at $279.24.
