Kansas crops remain on schedule from timely rains and normal temperatures.
USDA’s crop progress and condition report says corn is rated 60 percent-good-to-excellent with 86 percent in the dough stage on par with the five-year average. Forty-eight percent of the corn has dented.
Seventy-two percent of soybeans have set pods, two percent behind the five-year average. Soybean condition is rated 58 percent good-to-excellent.
Sorghum is rated 62 percent-good-to excellent with 86 percent of the crop headed.
