A quiet start to cash cattle trade on this Friday after the last two days of light business. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $124 to $125 in the South and $204 dressed in the North. The bulk of the week’s trade is likely wrapped up for the week. Boxed beef cutouts are expected to continue its lower trend on light to moderate box movement.

Boxed beef cutout values are lower to sharply lower at midday with Choice down $3.13 at $329.45 and Select 92 cents lower at $295.53.
