The USDA’s national crop condition rating for corn wilted a little over the last week, with harvest just getting underway in some key growing areas.
As of Sunday, 58% of U.S. corn is rated good to excellent, down 1% on the week, with 4% of the crop harvested, compared to the five-year average of 5%. 87% of corn has dented, compared to 81% on average and 37% has reached maturity, compared to 31% normally in mid-September.
