DuQuoin State Fair Manager Josh Gross with 2021 fair royalty
The 2021 DuQuoin State Fair welcomed more than 150,000 attendees, up 22% from the 2019 event.
Fair manager Josh Gross tells Brownfield after COVID-19 cancelled the 2020 event, fairgoers were eager to return to the fair in September which showcased talent, competition, and agriculture unique to southern Illinois.
The 2021 grandstand lineup, led by classic rock band REO Speedwagon, generated more than $413,000 in revenue, the highest in 20 years.
