The head of the Soy Transportation Coalition says President Biden’s decision with West Coast Port authorities to operate 24/7 to ease supply chain concerns is a positive step.
“Any step toward that should be helpful. We’re hopeful that it’ll provide some degree of relief,” Mike Steenhoek tells Brownfield Ag News one of the reasons the supply chain is so stressed is because – after the pandemic – consumer demand shifted from services to goods, because of the stimulus funds doled out worldwide and especially in the U.S.
