A low-pressure system will cross the north-central U.S., delivering snow in parts of western South Dakota and producing rain at lower-elevation sites. Here at mid-week, rain will spread into the Great Lakes States. On Thursday and Friday, rain showers will develop across the eastern U.S., as the storm system’s trailing cold front becomes more active.
