Ag producers remain optimistic about short-term and long-term farmland values, according to the latest Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer.
Jim Mintert is the director of the Purdue Center for Commercial Agriculture.
“People continue to be very positive about farmland values so both the long-term index, which is based on a question that asks people to look ahead five years, and the short-term index, which is based on a question that asks people to look ahead to the next 12 months, are very strong,” he says.
