Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures along and southeast of a line from the southern Rockies to the lower Great Lakes region, while colder-than-normal conditions will cover much of the West, along with the northern half of the Plains and the upper Midwest.
Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation should occur nationwide, except for drier-than-normal weather across Florida’s peninsula.
