A Midwestern agronomist says ag producers should expect several new carbon markets to emerge.
“Everybody is trying to get their own program running and it’s one of those catch phrases in ag right now – carbon,” said Agoro Carbon Alliance agronomist Clay Craighton.
Craighton tells Brownfield he expects more programs to come to several ag sectors, including agroforestry – adding premiums for orchards and vineyards – and more programs for livestock production…
“I was an agronomist for a large hog company and did plenty of manure management,” he said.
