Thursday, storm impacts across the nation’s mid-section will reach peak coverage and intensity. For example, snow will blanket the central Plains and Midwest; sleet and freezing rain will extend from the Ohio Valley and mid-South to the mid-Atlantic; and heavy rain may cause additional flooding in the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys.
