There’s been a handful of direct cash cattle trade that’s been reported to start the day.  Live deals are at $142, fully steady with the week’s previous business.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $143-plus live in the South and $228 to $229 dressed in the North.  Look for a little cleanup business before the end of the day.  So far this week, Northern trade has been at mostly $227, about $1 higher than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
