The planting pace in Kansas is following a typical trajectory.

USDA’s latest crop report says 60 percent of corn is planted compared to the five-year average of 64 percent.

Soybean planting is 32 percent done, behind last year’s 41 percent but ahead of the usual pace of 28 percent.

Sorghum is five percent planted, equal to average.

Cotton planting, at 41 percent, is well ahead of normal.
