A young farmer says having access to others with a similar lifestyle has been invaluable when navigating farming challenges. 

Sarah Zastrow tells Brownfield Google can only be so helpful for farmers which is why she has turned to Young Farmer programs for connections. 

“We can find ourselves with a big question and we’re not even sure where to search for it,” she says.   

She says between a mix of continuing education, professional development, and community service, the program has also helped equip her and her husband for many of the trials of beginning farmers.
