There’s a light direct cash cattle trade underway.  A few deals have been reported in Nebraska at $140 to $142 live, but not near enough to establish a trend.  Packer inquiry is expected to improve as the day progresses with more business picking up.  Asking prices are at $136 to $138 live in the South and $227 to $230 dressed in the North.  There was some scattered business reported on Tuesday with Southern live deals at mostly $135 and dressed deals mostly at $225, both fully steady with last week’s business.
