The harvest continues for hay, potatoes, and oats in Wisconsin as corn and soybeans continue to mature.
The third crop of alfalfa hay is 87% cut, which is 9 days ahead of average. About 12% of the fourth crop alfalfa is also cut. The all hay condition is improving after recent scattered rains, with 80% of the crop in good to excellent condition.
USDA reporters say 94% of the state’s corn is silking with 59% reaching the dough stage.
