The USDA says ideal weather conditions aided dry down in corn and soybean fields last week in Indiana.
As of Sunday, 54 percent of the state’s corn crop is rated good to excellent, with 86 percent dented, 29 percent mature, and 1 percent harvested.
Fifty-four percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent, with 42 percent dropping leaves, and 1 percent harvested.
