Farmers are finding opportunities to lock in profits for next year.

“You look at the rail basis and that’s pretty strong for next summer. That tells me they’re going to be hungry for corn probably to ship down toward that Nebraska and Kansas area where it was really dry and the crop wasn’t as good, because they still have livestock to feed down there.
