Direct cash cattle trade activity is picking up. Deals have been reported at $165 live in the South, $1 higher than the previous week’s weighted averages.  Dressed deals are marked at mostly $265, $4 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages basis in Nebraska.   There’s been some light, scattered business reported throughout the week with dressed deals in Iowa marked at $262 to $265 and live deals at $161 to $166.  Deals in Nebraska were marked at $262 to $263 dressed.
