Direct cash cattle trade is quiet at midday. Most business took place on Thursday last week with Southern live deals ranging from $165 to $171, Kansas sales were at mostly $167, $4 higher than the previous week’s weighted average, but Texas trade was at mostly $166, $3 higher than the prior week’s weighted average. Northern dressed deals had a wide range of $265 to $275.50, mostly $270 to $272, $5 to $7 higher than the past week’s weighted averages.
