Across the Corn Belt, showers associated with a disturbance over the eastern U.S. have pushed as far west as Ohio and southeastern Michigan.  Meanwhile, a cold front inching across the upper Midwest is producing a few showers and thunderstorms, mainly in Nebraska and the Dakotas.  The remainder of the Midwest, including the heart of the Corn Belt, remains dry, with increasing stress on summer crops.  Friday’s high temperatures will reach 90°F as far north as the upper Mississippi Valley, where Minneapolis-St.
