At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mixed, and feeders were lower waiting for significant direct cash business to develop.  Feeders were pressured by the higher move in corn. August live cattle closed $.02 higher at $176.90 and October lives closed $.15 lower at $180.10.  August feeder cattle closed $1.57 lower at $245 and September feeders closed $1.95 lower at $247.32.

Another relatively slow day for direct cash cattle trade.  Business was light and scattered throughout cattle country.
