Timely rainfall last week boosted crop condition ratings in Indiana.

Precipitation was slightly lower than normal, but most of the state continues to have adequate to surplus soil moisture levels, while temperatures were just below average.

60% of Indiana’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition, with 40% silking, behind the five-year average, and 4% is at the dough making stage, a little bit ahead of the usual pace.

60% of soybeans are called good to excellent, with 42% blooming and 9% at the pod setting stage, behind the respective normal paces.
