Without much pomp and circumstance, yet, the Marshalltown Generating Station is on line as of Saturday. The project marks the largest single investment of money in the history of Marshall County. A peak of 12 hundred people were employed at one point during the construction process. The facility is on the far east side of Marshalltown. The event is viewed as a milestone moment for Marshalltown.
