A South-Central Nebraska farmer says he’s has at least two weeks until his corn crop is across the finish line.
Jerry Baysinger he’s still irrigating to help get the crop to maturity, and his expectations are high. “Here in the last few weeks, with the heat, and if a guy’s been able to keep up with the water, we’ve been putting on some good test weights, so the kernel depth in some of our full season hybrids is really looking impressive right now.”
But, he tells Brownfield, severe weather could impact top end yield.
