Voters said yes to utilizing a physical plant equipment levy in the West Marshall School District in a special election on Tuesday. According to the Marshall County Auditor/Recorders office the margin was 356 yes and 172 no which passed by a margin of 67%, it took a simple 50% yes margin to pass. the levy which is known by the acronym “ppel” for short earmarks tax funds for infrastructure use and repairs within the school district. A total of 528 votes were cast which is considered pretty good numbers by elections officials, 3 precincts were used for the vote, the most votes were cast at City Hall at State Center which was expected.
