Milk futures were lower in the near term and cash dairy markets were lower except butter Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October Class III milk was down $0.18 at $16.80. November was down $0.16 at $16.95. December was down $0.11 at $17.40. January was up $0.04 at $17.99. February through August contracts ranged from six cents lower in June to eight cents higher in February and July.
Dry whey was down $0.0050 at $0.2850.
