The Marshall County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday opted to award a bid for work to refurbish the elevators at the Marshall County Courthouse to Hay Construction of Marshalltown. Supervisor Dave Thompson says he was glad a local firm got the nod and was pleased their bid was under the amount that was originally budgeted for the project which will modernize the two elevators. The supervisors are anxious to get the project going as soon as possible, a September completion date is envisioned.
