Boxed beef was steady to higher at midday. Choice was up $.69 at $302.41 and Select was $.36 higher at $270.72. The Choice/Select spread is $31.69.

At the Tri-State Livestock Auction in McCook, Nebraska, steer calves 450 to 750 pounds sold steady to $5 higher compared to the most recent sale.
