Direct cash cattle trade is off to a quiet start on Friday after some business took place on Thursday. It appears yesterday’s sales may be the bulk of the business for the week. Southern live deals were $180 to $181, $4 to $5 lower than the previous week. In the North, dressed transactions were marked at mostly $285 to $287, $5 to $7 lower than last week. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are $182 in the South and $289 in the North.
