Across the Corn Belt, colder air is lurking over the upper Great Lakes region, but Midwestern temperatures remain mostly at near- or above-normal levels for this time of year. With a dry pattern in place, producers are attempting to complete any remaining fieldwork. Since early November, dryness has been particularly acute across the upper Midwest.
On the Plains, a precipitation event is underway across the southern half of the region. Initially, precipitation is falling as rain, but livestock producers across portions of the central and southern High Plains continue to prepare for a transition to wet snow by Wednesday night.
